How reliable is a supercharged s2000?

How to convince my parents to buy me an S2000?

• I'll begin with this; I understand it's a first car, and I should be taking whatever I can get. But the Honda S2000 is a car I've been longing for ever since I was 10. My parents are buying me a car so I can get around myself on college on my own. My dad wants to buy a brand new Fiesta/Focus but that costs more than a used S2000 so I refuse to take it because it would be a waste of money on their end because $17,000-$20,000 isn't cheap and I don't want to put them down even more when they pay for college. Also, since the car is a two seater I won't have to drive any of my friends around so that would save me some money on gas. I also have my own part time job with $10,000 saved up for repairs/gas even though it's a Honda and I don't see it breaking anytime soon. Insurance wouldn't be a problem because we were going to put the car under my dad's name anyways. I know it's a sports car but I want to drive it for style not to race. I'm a pretty safe driver and I understand accidents will happen even if it isn't my fault. I can drive stick well and the car has superb handling so it should be easy to drive. My parents don't find this to be enough and I don't want to quit on this car because by the time I can buy a nice one myself, they may be extremely rare since they're cancelled... and I'll never get a chance to own my dream car I could have had. Any suggestions?
