Art project proposal?

Please help with ideas for art project?

• I'm trying to come up with some ideas for an art project and have a few but still am not sure what i'm gonna do... Please help me come up with some ideas? These are the details :Abstraction has been a major component in art throughout time. For this project, you will choose one object to respond to and learn how to abstract it in a mixed media work using the theme of metamorphosis. You will focus on texture, color, emphasis, and scale (as it relates to the human body.) Look up the word metamorphosis for inspiration. Objectives : To apply a color in a work of art in a thoughtful manner To manipulate variety of materials To create a composition in the round that focuses on texture and emphasis To create a work in the round that stands on its own, without the use of a base To creatively interpret the assignment Materials mixed media

• Answer:

  Do a series of pictures showing a man or a women through out their life cycle = Neonate, baby, child teenagers middle age, senior and old age, show the life cycle of an infant-one two cell - ed, life form and follow it through until it delivers, Use light colors for the early ages #1 being white, then gradually get darker until the end and make that black as a ending or a new beginning - black being all colors mixed. Like white, yellow, orange, red, lilac/ purple, blue, green, brown, black, do it in a circle-the circle of life? Do each cycle with different medias, smooth of the early and gradually get thicker, like water colors to a oil paint color ending add thickener, or texture base to the end one. Get picture of the different life cycles then abstract them- Do it as a tree and the abstract across it as the tree cycles so do the ages-little green leafs-new life, more leaves child hood, green leaves - teenage, start to change colors - middle age, more colors - senior, leaves start to fall off, old age only a few leafs left on, then a barren tree- one tree and it changes with the ages.. go mixed mediums , different materials, plastic with pictures printed on it. the the end a collage using yarn or string, there an idea for you, Good luck!
