Long Hair Bad hair cut?

GS: Have you ever had a really bad hair cut and/or dye job.?

• I have had many: *My Mother went through a phase of making me have my hair 'BOY short' when I was a child. This lead to years of misery and bullying. *When I was 10 my Sister gave me a bowl cut. *When I was 14 I tried to dye my hair black but it went all patchy. *All through out my teens my hair was thick and frizzy with untidy waves. I had never considered straightening it so I figured having a nice cut with a few inches off would look nice. The hair dresser went and chopped it above my chin :( I have destroyed every photograph of me from back then. *When I was 19 I started using straighteners. Someone accidentally stood on them and broke the hinge on one side so I sealed them with duct tape. I couldn't afford a new pair so I just had to keep on using them. The worst happened. The heat control in them must have broken and I singed a whole chunk of my hair off. *When I was 20 I tried to go blonde. My hair went patchy orange and it looked AWFUL. I had to have it fixed the next day. *When I was 23 I started noticing 'burnt' bits on the ends of my hair and that were rough and brittle and they would itch against my face. I stopped using my straighteners and I bought a hair relaxer for European hair. It was yet another disaster. It dried my hair out even more and bits started snapping off (this was just last year). The worst of it was that in superficially burnt an area of my scalp, like mild sunburn. I got a layre cut so that the waves would look passable and I deep conditioned it for a few months. I solved the problem by using huge amounts of heat protector and not smoothing the straighteners all the way down to the end of my hair. Now my hair is pretty good and it is also growing longer. Tell me your hair disasters.
