Is it good to fill out job applications online?

Why will my dad not fill out job applications?

• He'll fill out 1 and then be exhausted. I don't think he's ever had to work at it to get a job. He lost his good job years back and has just settled for one that barely pays over minimum wage. He figures if he fills out one application and doesn't get a call back, it's the end of the world. I don't understand. How can I encourage him?

  he is depressed. He is afraid he will be rejected, that he is wasting his time. fears the future that if he is hired he will hate the place he works & what he has to do. Is there anything he can do that will help him make money even if he doesn't get a job. My husband does handyman work & you might not know it if he has a hidded talent. My husband & I haven't had a job in years & my husband gets this way but we have to figure out what we want to have & then we will have it.
