What were the beliefs of the Democratic-Republicans?

How cna I learn to separate people from their beliefs, and not judge someone for their beliefs?

  • I know people must be judged for there beliefs on some level, it's human nature and some beliefs and definitely despicable... but how can I learn to separate the emotions I feel about their beliefs, from the actual person themself, and not turn it into a personal, defensive argument when debating and such? having a hard time wording this....lol just how do I not make controversial debates/issues/etc a PERSONAL thing? Or maybe feel sympathy for someone with poor beliefs, rather than disgust?

  • Answer:

Well, it is unavoidable that you will come across people with whom you completely disagree. Unfortunately, it is impossible to fully separate people from their beliefs. It is fine if you do some judging; it is instinctual, and it helps you get to know them more efficiently. However, you may need tdisassociatete yourself from them to an extent. For example, a Catholic and a gay could be friends; they should just avoid talking about that certain thing that separates them at length. If they respect each other enough, they should be able to look past their differences. The key is not to focus on the differences, but focus on the others' personality.
