• The Assignment You work at a large toy manufacturer and have just invented a toy that stimulates cognitive development for either infants or young children. Answer the following questions about your toy: 1.What are the features of your toy, and what is the age group for whom it is designed? 2.What aspects of cognition will it affect? 3.Which theory of cognitive development influenced the development of your toy, and how did it influence the development of your toy?

  First choose a theory I'd say a theory based on stages would be easiest e.g. Piaget or Freud. Then choose a stage within that theory e.g. Piaget might be Sensorimotor, Freud could be Oral. Then design a toy that is suited to characteristics of that stage and starting to extend into the next stage.
