Is piano easier to play than guitar?

Is it easier to learn to play the piano if you are already proficient in Guitar?

  • I've been playing Electric Guitar and Classical Guitar for almost 6 years now. I am very proficient and I well know in the capital city i'm from for playing electric guitar. But im so impressed by the piano, it is such a marvelous instrument and I would love to learn how to play it proficiently. My question is. Is it easier to learn to PLAY the piano if you already play guitar?? Would you be skilled? would acquira fast movements in your hands quickly??

  • Answer:

Assuming you are well at scales. Piano should be esier to learn than a complete beginner; however, learning piano is a completely different instrument. It is like a football player that wants to be able to play a new sport he has never played. It will be hard at first but his background will provide good support. You also have already had experience with rythms, theory, and general musicianship. This will help a lot. Good luck.
