Dancers, what can I eat?

Answer:
look at the food pyramid. now you know. look at the nutrition facts on the food labels. compare the nutritional value to calories. if the values have a higher percentage of the daily need than the calories do than it is good for you. Like two slices of bread (whole grain (Honey wheat for me)) covers many different nutritional needs with good percentages and only makes up less than 10% of your daily calories. So just look at the facts and cover all your daily needs by 100% while covering 100% of your daily calorie needs (I'd say get the normal recommended amount since dancing burns a lot more calories so you'll be burning off more than that daily suggestion)

If you are just trying to control being bloated- stay away from fatty (fried) foods and chips, stuff that you should not be eating a lot of anyways. If you are asking what to specifically eat as a dancer I suggest you read the book "Diet for dancers". If you are just not getting a chance to eat before class, grab a handful of nuts like almonds for a good source of protein and energy, but if you are starving because you just don't eat...you need to in order to have the energy to make it though class, you have to be careful not to develop an eating disorder if you get too obessed about your weight.
