What song should I do for my Show Choir audition?

What is a Good, Upbeat Song to Use for a Show Choir Audition?

  • Tomorrow, I'm auditioning for our schools's show choir. I'm already in a few performing groups, and they haven't yet turned anyone down, so I'm not too worried about getting in. I would, however, really like to show off my range, my ability to stay on pitch, and (here's where it gets hard) my ability to hold a harmony and dance. Does anyone know of any songs that might have a dance break in the middle, and is in the vocal range of Alto or Soprano 2? Songs from musicals are preferable, but not required. Thanks a million!!!

    My advice would be Riu Riu Chiu. It is an Old Spanish dance. Also, Kalinda, which is a creole mix. Lovely also. Hope these are nice. Though these are full choir songs, not solo.
