How do i get more acting experience?

  • I wasnt to be a professional actor but i have only taken 3 acting classes and been in two plays wih very small roles i am part of an improv group that meets every week we go out into the comunity and do shows at diffrent places my community theater only does plays llike cinderella...or charlottes web and cast only kids ages 6-11 or adults 28-30 im almost 15 i practice alot at home but theres not much i can do to get experience in my community.......how do i get in to pro acting if i cant get any experience?!

    Get some friends together and start a theater group of your own. Saying you STARTED a theater group will look excellent on college applications too. Then you can act all you want to audiences of your families, school friends, maybe in church or wherever. Also the experience of producing and directing and organizing everything will teach you a HUGE amount about what goes into making a play work. Secondly, plan on applying to a college with a good acting program. You'll have a lot more opportunities in campus theater groups, and the faculty should have connections or at least advice to help make the transition into the professional world.

Stort acting classes and look on the internet at some auditions for roles in small movies (Great experience) Keep performing in plays and hope you get discovered, it seems unlikey but you would be suprised how many actors/actress get descovered by doing these.
