How can I become popular?

  • Okay, don't think I'm stupid, I'm serious. -.- I want to be popular. I don't know how so can you tell me people. I know I shouldn't care cuz after high school, who the eff cares but I want to have a whole lot of friends like I did in grade school. (I'm in the 9 grade) And JS, my high school, the first grade is 7th not 9th. (My school is not traditional, its college prep.) And all the popular kids are like pot heads, kinda.... there are some that are popular that are normal. And if you go to the other side, the other people are people that I don't want to hang out with..... One thing I have done, is actually introduced myself to the popular people, and sat with some of them, but it is weird........ I don't want to be popular but at the same time I do :/ and the popular people, I notice are almost all but 7 (7 out of 80 populars) are black. I'm mixed. Help. I wanna be myself tooo. And can you tell me how to be hot/attractive cuz all the popular people are.

    Here is a secret for you, EVERYONE your age feels the exact same way! Do not worry about popularity, it is overrated. Just be yourself and develop your own interests. People will either like you for who you are or not.

Belive me, Ive tried many times to be popular, then I gave up, went with my own style, listen to my own music, and now here I am, a 15 year old boy who gave up the pop crap, popular clothing and music, and a person who is now comftible in his skin tight jeans, in a band, and listening to that good ol' metal :)

To be popular you don't have to be in the "popular" group.There are a ton of groups that are popular in their own way.If you still however want to be with the so called populars then try finding someone that you like to hang around and aren't uncomfortable around them.Remember that you don't have to hang with the do called popular people if you don't want to theres plenty of people that are just as popular and are actually nice,although sometimes its hard to find one.

I was ignored in one school district, moved for father's work, and then became mega-popular for being smart and adorable (at least that seems to explain why girls wanted my photograph) in 7th grade. All the boys wanted to be my friend (for nefarious purposes probably). It was such a big change, I couldn't deal with the sudden attention. Besides, the girl I actually wanted attention from mostly ignored me. Sure, the girls that wanted to be with me were pretty, but I did not want to be with them. It seems you want to be acknowledged rather than popular. Rather than being adored, you only want friendly relations with people. Be helpful, talk to people, join a club or two, and eventually, you'll have a group of friends and popularity will be a non-issue.
