Do you need a degree in Music to play in the London Symphony orchestra?

  • Hi, I was just wondering if you need a degree in Music to play in the London Symphony orchestra? I love playing the violin and it would be my dream to play in the orchestra. And if you do need a degree in music, would you have needed to do it at A-level or can it be based upon an audition (I would have chosen it for A-level, I love playing but not so much composing that I would of had to do)
