What are the SM Entertainment auditions like?

SM entertainment global auditions 2012?

  • Im 14 years old and i live in canada. I really want to audition for sm entertainment. Im a really good dancer , ive been taking dance lessons since i was 3. im planning on going to the global auditions in toronto this year but i have a few questions about the audition. 1) if i audition to dance, can i bring a cd and make my own dance up , or do they play a random song and i have to dance to that. 2)are only the judges watching or will random people watch? 3) are they going to make me sing to even if i only apply for the dance auditions? 4) if i get accepted am i going to be trained to be an idol and get put in a group? or will i be trained to be just a dancer? 5) i have heard that there are three rounds of auditions . what do we have to do for the different rounds? 6) do you have to be asian? im part philliapino but i dont look that asian unless i wear makeup. 7) my singing isint that great , i'll say its avrage . will that be to my dissadvantage? if you know anything i would really appreacate it ! please help. and thank you.

  • Answer:

hello-im planning on auditioning in toronto too!! 1)no, you will have to dance to whatever random song they decide to play-i think its because they want to see how well you can dance and not how well you can dance to a professionally choegraphed routine. 2)19 other auditionees will be watching 3)they will ask you to do more-like singing-if they are interested in you 4)you will most likely train in all the areas-singing,dancing,acting-becaus ehtye will probably want you to be like hyoyeon where she is a main dancer for SNSD 5)there are no rounds, if you inpress them after the first audition then they will ask you to perform for them again and again until they want to bring you korea to do a performance for the company. 6)it is deffinetely preferred, and not being asian is a huge disadvantage, however this is the first year wwhere they are allowing non-asian to audition so who knows;) 7)as long as its workable, you have to beable to improve, but since you are mainly a dancer then as long as your not terrible
