How do I get noticed as a singer?

How can i get noticed and become a singer?

  • Well im 16 and everyone tells me i have an amazing voice. And the other day my grandmother said "why would God give you a voice if you couldn't use it". So that got me thinking about making albums and stuff. I have sung in studios for back-up vocals but that's it. And i also won are cities singing competition.     Everybody has a talent, and only a few have yours. But you should take time to realize that only a few people ever make it far in the business. Think about American Idol, out of the thousands that auditioned, only one wins. But I think you should follow what your heart desires. If you live in Hollywood/LA, that is a big advantage that you should take. Go out to the streets and perform, try local contests, there are bound to be scouts there. If you upload more videos on Youtube and become popular, you might get noticed. You can contact a local radio station and play one of your songs (preferably an original, if not, a cover) and the viewers might enjoy you. Good Luck And Have Fun!

For a change everybody is not tone deaf as they so often are. Do not know where you are from and contact via youtube may not reach you but you could email me with a fuller idea of where you are and what you are aiming for.
