What is film studies like?

What is the difference between drama and film studies and performing arts? (For university?

  • so i dont know whats the damn difference, also what subject in the creative arts department from drama, theatre and drama and film and performing arts will more likely have directing and all that stuff in it? cus i wana do a balance between drama and directing, but drama has abit of directing in it aswell.. i make things v confusing but if you get me then please help me :) thank you.

Drama only long shot. Film have long, mid close ups.now a days, people like to come to films, because of close up shots. its enlarged performing details, in drama we have to feel emotions and throw to audience, but in film 95 percent close up (then only that s camera medium performance) in film we have to feel emotions pump it and control it and try to behave according to camera position.( I am francis paulraj, lecturer in film acting, srm sivaji ganesan school of film studies)
