10 POINTS: How do you sing with your diaphragm?!?

  • I understand that you need to inhale a lot of air then your stomach will push out like a balloon, but when you sing, I use my throat and the high notes still aren't that good. THREE QUESTIONS: How do you NOT sing with your throat? Seems impossible! Second question: How do you sing with your head voice? Third obvious question, how do you sing with your diaphragm?! lol

    Please consult a fully-trained vocal teacher in order to learn these, it is the only SAFE way to learn things without getting vocal nodules, hoarseness and other nasties due to bad habits/incorrect and unhealthy singing/breathing techniques. Just tighten your stomach muscles and push from the bottom of your stomach. Make sure you have plenty of air support to put behind it.
