What does socrates meant by "true philosophers make dying their profession"?

His meaning was that true philosophers should be like Journalists who critiqued the Pinochet Regime backed by the U.S.A. Like Socrates these journalists were killed for writing against him or espousing the ideas of Marxism and communal property. Also many people were tortured and killed by that regime. A Marxist-Green Revolutionary United Nations could stop genocide and fit true definition of philosophy by writing without caring about death. Human Rights should stop attempt to kill anyway. People who write books like Knowing the Enemy Jihadist Ideology and War on terror are not true philosophers because they do not take democratization of religion into account. Paine's Rights of man provides principles to democratize.

All of our fears relate to the fear of death. Since fear is the biggest barrier to a life well lived then we need to learn to die a thousand deaths to reach true understanding and happiness. The truly ignorant don't even know when their actions and reactions are directed by fear because they haven't yet learned how to be in touch with their feelings. Many use anger or hate to cover up their fears and never try to look past the base emotions.

Death is the understanding of what is after here, is beyond the grasp of science. And to fully understand life you must understand all the stages of it. Life being easy as we are in it, but death is the second part, hence we long to understand what we need to do next.
