    To be attractive. Fit body, nice skin & hair. Individual & flattering style. Confident body language. To stand out in the crowd. To be noticed both by man and women in a positive way. To be desired by the opposite sex. Perhaps it is vanity. However, I do not think it comes from a shallow place at all. The need to look good comes from self awareness and often it determines how others view you.
