    I would imagine that he had very few; he was one of the greatest scientists the world has ever known. He established our binomial nomenclature, established taxonomy as a science, trained apprentices who traveled the world spreading his ideas, and identified thousands of species. He certainly came up against resistance to his ideas, especially after he was the first to classify humans as animals, but always managed to hold his own. He was probably disappointed by the overwhelming stupidity of many of the people of his time, but failures and weaknesses? I cannot find any, aside from a few physical ailments. I would certainly have traveled more; Linnaeus missed out on many of the more wonderful things which the natural world had to offer.
