What is true love...?

True love..... Wow well there is so much to say when you have experienced it. When one is truely in love you just know. There isn't one specific factor that lets you know you are in love. You just know. This is due to many things. True love is when you can't go a day with out this special person. When a person becomes part of you. Kind of like a drug. You know you need that person in ur life to feel complete. To feel at peace. True love is when it hurts sometimes. You know their will be pain. Although you know this you compromise with one another because you love the person. You sacrifice what you want... and ur willing to do whatever it takes for that other person's well being. I guess that what i'm trying to say is that u know it's true love when u r willing to put that other person before urself. When u see them happy ur happy when u see them sad u wish u culd ease their pain. True love is when u feel a sensation in ur chest that u can conquer the world because ur so happy. That person gives u strength to do it all!! You can do what before u thought was impossible. True love is just when u feel complete. Like nothing else matters as long as ur together.

Love as a feeling is a chemical reaction designed to propogate the species. Love as an emotion is the willingness to compromise and forgive. Love and relationships are truly one of the most paradoxical aspects of being human. For it is in love that we find the greatest of strengths and the deepest of sorrows. Love can seem to be so fleeting and unachievable yet it remains well within our reach if we only learn how to embrace it's power. To experience true love, we must be willing to open ourselves up and sacrifice part of our heart and part of our soul. We must be willing to give of ourselves freely, and we must be willing to suffer. It is only when we expose our inner selves to the white hot flame of rejection, that love can burn so brightly as to join to souls, melding the two into one, creating a bond that joins forever. It is from this bond that we draw strength eternal and power ever lasting. It is in this thing that we call love that we find the means to achieve greatness, both in ourselves and in our lives.

You get butterflies everytime you see him/her. You think about that person all day. He/she would make you smile, make you laugh, make happy when your said. He/she is there to comfort you when you need comfort. He/she is the first one you call about any exciting news. You just know.

No, I don't think you "just know". I think, or I believe, that true love is allowing yourself to love someone, and allowing someone to love you, and against all good sense, putting your faith in them not to crush you with the power they hold over you.
