Biological Warfare, what is it, why or why not should it be used, and how can it be used?
-
So I am writing a research people for my English II class, everyone chose simple subjects such as Gender inequality or Abortion but I wanted to choose a more...interesting, unknown topic to study. So if you can answer these questions and tell me your occupation that'd be great :) 1.What long-term effects can biological warfare have on our environment? 2.What are the positive and negative aspects of releasing harmful diseases and viruses into warring nations? 3.What are the differences between chemical and biological warfare and weaponry? 4.How can ecological harm and destruction affect the world economically? 5.How would you perceive the reinstatement of biological warfare as a method of battle? 6.What locations or regions would be most suitable for the employment of biological weapons? 7.Why is biological warfare sometimes used on livestock, in what ways can that affect society? 8.In what ways is it possible to defend against biological warfare? 9.In what ways are biological weapons deployed? 10.Why do you believe biological warfare should or shouldn’t be used?

Answer:
1) biological warfare cannot be contained so it would effect every part of our environment from the social aspect to the actual plants and animals we share this earth with. 2) i really can't see any positives. am i just reminded of the damage done to the native population of this country when diseases were introduced. reminded of how many people who went to india when it was an english colony who died because their immune system was not able to handle the new bacterias. there is i suppose an ease of transference that can wipe out lots of people at once. 3) chemical would be napalm, biological is super bacterias introduced into a population for the express purpose of killing as many as possible. 4) well it has been used in the past. soldiers burn everything behind them so that it cannot be used to help the enemy and also starves out people so they have to rely on the kindness of whoever is occupying the area to feed them. makes them less likely to go against them. 5) i sure hope history has show how bad of an idea that is but then i have little hope that anyone in power really understood what was being taught in their elementary history class. 6) islands that can be totally quarantined would really be the only hope of containing such a thing after it had gotten loose. on board ships and submarines would also be good examples of practical places to use them if one feels they must. 7) didn't know it was and that doesn't make me feel any better about getting food from anyplace other than my own backyard. 8) isolation of those effected and a good intelligence agency that is able to prevent such occurrences. decent protocols for hospitals to help contain it. but the real sad thing is that there is nothing that can be done and that is why it is so despicable. it attacks everyone equally, babies should not pay for the actions that were started years before they were born. 9) in the air, in the food, in the water, and by contact between the infected and the soon to be. 10) i believe it shouldn't be used. history has shown that it is not a good idea and i believe in learning from past mistakes as well as one can.
