Studying Philosophy does not give you a skill or trade. It simply makes you a more rigorous thinker and problem solver. It trains you to think critically. It enables you to look at issues from many different perspectives and put up really good arguments because of the critical thinking ability you would gain from studying philosophy. As far as being an atheist, philosophy CAN be for or against depending on the user. You can use philosophical arguments to defend the idea that there is no God. While Christians can use philosophical arguments to defend the belief that there IS a God. So to answer your questions, because the logical arguing and reasoning skills one gets from studying philosophy, the best field to seek with the degree would be Law.
