What separates humans from animals?

Nothing separates humans from animals. Except maybe a wall. :) All humans are animals. Not all animals are humans. Animals are known to have dreams. Studies have been conducted and videos recorded. I have a personal experience with knowing that animals dream. I had a dream once with my brother's dog in it; we were having a conversation in the dream (in english). Next time I saw the dog he freaked out. (Mind you, this dog had seen me many times before and never freaked out). I believe that our dreams somehow crossed and it messed with his head... wierd. no joke tho.

Humans can produce War Weapons to fight with fellow Humans, Animals can't produce War Weapons to fight with its fellow Animals .

In a nutshell... Ability! The ability to understand and accept the consequences of your actions. The ability to dream and be able to realize your dreams. The ability to better yourself and help or teach others to do the same. Man, unlike animals has the ability to do whatever they want. Even to become or act like an animal. Animals are not able to do any of the above.

What separates humans from animals? ~~~ Nothing but ego! Ego = thought! Also, can animals dream? ~~~ Yes! Never had a pet? And YOU dream, and YOU are a member of the animal kingdom!

yes, actually, animals can dream. in my personal opinion, humans are animals. but the separation from domestic (us) and wild (for now that will be all the other animals), lies in the ability of us to feel certain emotions and our thinking.our moods may quickly change and our thinking is beyond complex. for example. the founding fathers of trigonometry, calculus, physics. we are able of having the upper hand over wild animals. we are able to build, contract and model our world. what bonds us domestic and wild animals is the need for "survival of the fittest" and being sexual beings. Human life, all we know is that survival mode. elementary, you have to rightfully claim your place on the playground, a its mine, because i got here first, so im better, type of thing.same thing in high school. and of course in the "real world" after hs. the wild must fight for their food. prove themselves worthy to remain apart of the tribe.

Reason is what separates us from other animals. Other animals dream too.

What separates us seems to be our ability to cause large-scale problems, and to intentionally be cruel.
