I am so lost and have no idea how to do these problems According to the following reaction, how many moles of carbon monoxide are necessary to form 0.442 moles sulfur dioxide? sulfur (s) + carbon monoxide (g) sulfur dioxide (g) + carbon (s) ??? moles carbon monoxide According to the following reaction, how many moles of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are necessary to form 0.160 moles oxygen gas? hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) (aq) water (l) + oxygen (g) ??? moles hydrogen peroxide

Since there are 0.442 mol SO2 there we be twice as many moles for CO. 0.442 mol x 2 = 0.884 mol CO < this is the answer Second Question: Same idea as the first one. Write the balanced chemical equation: 2H2O2 (aq) > 2H2O (l) + O2 (g) In the equation there is 1 mol O2 for every 2 mol of H2O2 which means the amount of moles of H2O2 (aq) needed is twice the amount of O2 produced. So 0.160 moles x 2 = 0.160 mol So the answer is 0.320 mol H2O2.
