What is Gibbs Free Energy?

Thermodynamics: Gibbs free energy of H+?

  • EDIT : I meant the ∆fG° of H+, not the ∆rG°. The reaction is CH2O + 2H2AsO4(as in four oxygen, not four minus)- -- HCO3(three oxygen, not three minus)- + 2H2AsO3(three oxygen, not three minus) + H+ We are given the ∆fG° for each species except H+ and are meant to find the ∆rG° of the entire reaction, with ∆rG° = sum of ∆fG°(products) - sum of ∆fG°(reactants). In order to find this however, I need the ∆fG° of one of the products, H+, which was not given.
