what kind of metal... The general formula is Q=MCT(change of temperature) the C in the formula is the specific heat. so if you have the mass (in grams) and the CHANGE in temperature as well as the Q (which is the heat transfer in Joules or Calories) then just plug it in the formula and solve for C.
