Help on understanding combined gas law?

if i understand your question correctly, to solve for t2. you must times both sides of the eqtn by t2 to get t2 on the denominator (t2) (p1v1/t1) = p2v2 then times each side by t1/p1v1 and you get t2 = p2v2 * (t1/p1v1) u have it correct

For this equation its all relative you just have to pick which component is which and be consistent. Its a good idea to write down how your labeling your variables before you start calculating. If you really wanna convince yourself do it both ways and youll see you get the same answer ;)
