Is this a good split workout?

Full Body or Split Workout?

  • I am looking to build muscle mass rather than muscle tone. I have done full body and split workouts but I am wondering which one is more effective for muscle mass. Also, how many different exercises, sets, and reps should be done for each kind of workout; and how long should the workout last? Answers from experienced bodybuilders and weightlifters will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hey man i just started lifting a couple months ago and what i find helpfull is not goin straight to the big weights like say your starting out your week you took a weekend break so your gonna wanna start with sayy 45 pound bar plus 2x 25s do 5 sets of 5 then stop with the benching move on over to curls do 5 sets of 5 next is jumping jacks do 50 then move on to military press (search waht it is on google) then you should be wrapping up your workout with 100 jumping jacks get some water eat a banna/apple and relax then for the rest of the week go into hulk mode lol i personally use 45 pounds but idk how much you can lift and when i say 45s i mean 45s on each side thats like 150 pounds including the bar again i do 5 sets of 5 basically the same stuff just more weight and you should be able to boost your weight up 5 pounds every week if done right now when you get to benching 200 pounds thats where it gets difficult and requires some time :0 hope i helped
