When will i get my growth spurt?

  • im male and i am 5"2 i am 16 years old and my friends seem to be growing at a faster rate than me. they all tower over me lolz. i have been growing at a steady rate for as long as i can remember. i measure my height once every year (my birthday) to see how much ive grown and its always in the the range of about 0.4-1.6 inches, but thats if i do grow, some years its less some years its a bit more but that is the average range for me. if i do get a growth spurt how many inches will it be? how long does it take to have a growth spurt? will i get one soon since i am 16? will i ever get a growth spurt?

    Unless you have a rare genetic disorder or were severely malnourished as a child, use your family as a guide. Your genetic potential was inherited from your parents; if you are already in their height range and assuming they had adequate nutrition growing up, you should achieve a height that is very close to theirs or an average of theirs. Your height may also be very similar to the height of your siblings. Most males have completed most of their growth by age 16, although it may still be possible(though it is rare) to grow maybe another half inch to an inch between 20 to 25, but this seems to be largely restricted to northern Europeans.

Different guys have different spurts at different times. You could get a spurt up through 21 years of age. But at your current height and age, I doubt you will get that much taller. I am wondering if there is something going wrong, which is causing you to not grow. Possibly something wrong with your pituitary gland (the glad that provides growth hormone). Chances are if your parents are both short and you come from a long line of short people, you won't get tall. Good luck.

when u start gaining more weight u will eventually have 2 buy new clothes. Thatz how i was when i started my growth spurt. but im tiny 2 be 11.

you can judge how tall you will be by how tall your father is, usually this will be the same height
