Is it true that cats cause infertility?

Can testis above the scrotum due to an inguinal hernia repair cause infertility?

  • So my husband is 33 and when he was younger (5 years old) he fell on a bar like structure and this caused an inguinal hernia. He had surgery to repair this, in which both of his testicles were "tied" in his groin/abdomen and i do know that " Undescended testicles" can indeed cause infertility because sperm cant survive unless testicles are in the scrotum at a certain temperature. He doesn't really remember much of what the doctors told him and his mother is now deceased. With her being the one that asked all the questions at the time of surgery, im wondering if he is still fertile or if there is some sort of reverse surgery for this and if so would it cause another hernia? We have been trying for several years to get pregnant with no luck and unfortunately neither of us have insurance and cant afford to pay out of pocket expenses to see a doctor. Im also worried this could later cause testicular cancer or other health problems. Any advice/answers would be much appreciated. Thanks.
