What precautions should take while online shopping?

I've hit my head, what precautions should I take?

  • About 3 hours ago, as I was leaving for a lesson, I jumped and hit my head off the door frame (I didn't not realise I was in the doorway) when trying to look at something. I couldn't look on the internet about any precautions as I needed to leave for my lesson asap because I was already late. I didn't pass out and I wasn't bleeding or anything. I got a very slight headache though. Should I take any precautions? Or should I be ok? I have heard that even slight knocks to the head can be very dangerous.

  • Answer:

If within the next few days you have any dizziness, nausea, vomiting, random nose bleeds, weakness in an arm or leg, or one pupil is larger than the other and not reactive to light, get to the hospital. A slight headache is to be expected and not really a cause for much concern.

I knocked my head pretty hard a few weeks ago and felt fine. But then about 8 hours later a really horrible headache and found that any sounds and bright lights were really aggravating my head. I slept fine and woke up with the headache still so I took the day off work (I've had concussion before and knew it wasn't a good sign!) I ended up going to A&E just to get it checked out as you said yourself the slightest knock can sometimes be dangerous. But don't worry!!! If you need reassurance, go see a doctor and see what they say. I'd recommend not going to school/work whatever for at least three days, staying off computers, don't watch tv or read (these will be three very boring days but it's worth it) Try and sleep as much as you can and take it easy! A human head is harder than you think but if you look after yourself in the days following a bump you'll be feeling fine in no time.

you know it would not hurt any to have a cat scan done just to be on the safe side.
