How common is a pale optic disc?

After a disc replacement surgery how common is it do become paralyzed. ?

  • Answer:

What's more common is to have a temporary form of paralyzing symptoms from any back surgery due to inflammation of the spinal chord or surrounding tissues. After two back surgeries of my own, I experienced life in a wheel chair for six months at one point, it was scary and i didn't love it at all. Hopefully your friend is just scared and it's only temporary, as it usually is. Unless he has confirmed it with his Dr., if so then he needs all the understanding friends he can have, along with prayers of those who really care for him.
