What are the legal working hours are for a 16-year old?

    Each state & each county has their own guidelines. If you're still in school, some states require that you obtain a 'work permit' to work after school. Some places of employment limit you to the number of hours you CAN work. Like 4 hours a day. Many places have difficulty finding qualified help willing to work on weekends. If you're working interferes with your school work - then - you may want to limit working to weekends only. Your body can only take so much stress. Trying to attend school full time & get good grades, then working every nite from maybe 4 PM to 10 PM & keeping up with homework, etc. may be a little too much to handle.
