Ways to pick up rock climbing in Seattle?

MEN: Why does my ex want to hang out?

  • We broke up in May. I'm 21 hes 23. He dumped me. He rock climbs. Well blah blah blah we both started dating and I started to pick up rock climbing as well because the person I was dating did it to. I ran into him twice there, well three times. But once I hid so I don't count it. The first time I didn't hide he walked near me so I smiled and waved, we talked a short time then went our separate ways. He invited me to climb with him but I'd come with people. Like two days later he and the girl he was seeing broke up (idk who dumped who). Then I ran into him again. I didn't say hi to him this time. He called over and asked if we were top roping (I was with the person I dated after him, we're trying be be friends but he's all over me so not working out well). You need a partner, we both had one. We weren't top roping, we were just bouldering. I thought that was it and i saw him and his friend getting ready to leave. But he came over and started talking to me a little while i was on the wall. He wasn't there too long, I was on the wall and Ryan sent some hate vibes I think. I messaged him because I have some of his things. He said he didn't know I had anything and asked when I was going climbing next. I told him what I had, he said some were gifts but he'd take the books back (he said it light with like an lol). Then asked when I was climbing next again. He mentioned he was probably going Sunday afternoon (today). I had planned to so I told him I'd be there and I'd have his books. He said he was going to a breast cancer walk and wasn't going to make it. I got some bad news so i just replied with ok. an hour later i wrote a better response saying it was great he was, sorry for lame response earlier just a bad day. He said he understood and asked why it was bad. I told him but just sent it so no response yet. Now, I try to be friends with my ex's. He normally does too. But he disappeared completely after he left me. Even though we ended on good terms. I'm just wondering what you think is going on in his head? Does he want to be friends? Does he just want his books back? Does he want a climbing buddy? Any theories would be great, I would just like to know what I'm getting into before I mess with it. Oh- The cancer walk was with his ex and some of her friends- I have no idea what terms they're on or if he only went because he had signed up. Last night he had planned on climbing so I don't know. We actually aren't friends on facebook anymore, I took him off, should I be readding him? Thanks... I'll clarify if you need it...
