Answer:
Heat transfer is energy in transit as the result of a temperature difference. There are 3 mechanism of heat transfer: 1. Conduction, is heat transfer through a solid body. 2. Convection, is heat transfer from a solid surface to a moving fluid. 3. Radiation, is heat transfer/generate due to its own temperature. ex: Heat transfer on your wall. The sun generate heat radiation to the earth. The heat transfer between the hot air (outside) and the outer surface of your wall is called convection. The heat transfer from the outer surface of your wall through the inner surface of your wall is called conduction. On conduction heat transfer, the material has a single properties that affect the heat transfer and that is called thermal conductivity (k). The higher the k value is the better heat transfer occurred and the lower heat resistance. Aluminum is consider having high value of thermal conductivity.
