Which one should I choose to study Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering?
-
its been one month I'm studying Electrical Engineering,Its going good but personally I want to do Chemical Engineering,All my family oppose this and says that Chemical is a limited field and it will be difficult for you to get a job after graduating and Chemical is not that good field as Electrical I am really confused now,I don't know what should I do! do you really think that Chemical isn't as good as Electrical? and what do you think I should do now?

Answer:
Thank your family members for being interested in your future and then make your own decision. There is a high demand for chemical engineers in industries that require design of chemical processes. There do seem to be fewer jobs available in chemical engineering but I would wager that there are also far fewer graduates available to fill those jobs. You will be most successful at the field that you are most interested in.

Of course chemical engineering does not have much scope as electrical. You can study chemical engineering because you are interested in it, but if you jump from electrical to chemical, your parents will become upset about your future and " IF " you do not get a good job in future " you and parents " will become upset and hence it will become a total tragedy. Do you have a clear cut idea about the various companies emerging in your locality? ( chemical industries..) An electrical engineer can also be posted in IT field , chemical factories..etc. but a chemical engineer has scope only in chemical industries. So be careful. Get ample advice and move on. Good luck dude ;)
