What is it like to be a civil engineer?

  • I know there are many fields of civil engineering but what is it like? I want to be around a lot of people because when i get older i dont want to be a loner or lonely. I'm thinking that civil engineering are in urban places does that mean i would have to travel far from where i live? I live in Markham Ontario and its already lonely here and if i have to work more up north i'm going to be so depressed if im not around any girls. I want a good social life. I rather be happy socially than be rich. So tell me if your a civil engineer hows your social life. Do you have time to go have fun? like partying, meeting girls, make friends, travel? Cause i heard theres always a deadline and it can become stressful. i dont want that. I want your opinion

    I am s civil student in asia. i think that you have not enough research about "civil". in my country civil engineers have good life even better than Doctors. so i suggest you to select this field and study hard at university to earn good level in your city.
