What is the Reverse Funnel System?

If I want to collect rain water inside a light funnel (glass), how would the drainage system work?

  • Answer:

We could use a clarification of the question. For one thing, do you really mean the diameter on the bottom of the funnel is about 4m? No matter what, discharge of water has to be below the level of the bottom of the funnel. I have a similar situation where the the discharge line has to go above the bottom of the funnel. I ran piping up from the bottom of the funnel to get to a window, then back down again outside The top of the collector there is below the level of the bottom of the funnel. When water enters the funnel it has to rise above the level where the pipe goes outside. The pipe becomes a siphon when the water level in the funnel reaches the bottom of the window
