How Can We Save Electricity Drawing?

How does bottom-freezer refrigerators help save electricity with regards to transfer of energy?

  • My questions is: How does bottom-freezer refrigerator help save electricity with regards to transfer of heat as COMPARED to a top-freezer refrigerator? My theory is that the electricity previously used to pump the larger amount of refrigerant to the top-freezer to absorb away the heat is reduced as cold matter sinks due to the natural convection currents so the cooler refrigerant naturally sinks to the bottom-freezer, thereby saving electricity as less pumping is involved by the compressor? Is this correct? Anyone has the RIGHT answer? PLEASE ANSWER ASAP

  • Answer:

not enough to worry about. modern refrigerators with separate compartments are so well insulated that the cost or savings are trivial compared to the total load.
