What is the salary paid to civil engineer?

Hi i was wondering is chemical engineer the highest paid engineer and what is the salary like?

    On average yes it definitely is. But as I'm sure you know the jobs a Chemical Engineer is qualified for are wide ranging as are their salaries. If you work in Petroleum Refining or even bulk chemical production for one of the large Oil and Gas companies such as Exxon Mobil, BP or Shell you will start on around £30,000 per year as a graduate. (Which is awesome!) Exxon pay around £34,000 for graduates with a masters degree and a years industrial experience, this is the highest payed graduate job I have ever seen with medical grads earning £33,000 per year. Other jobs like waste water treatment, polymer engineering and utilities management are less well payed but still quite good, All will start you on around £25,000 per year. Experienced process engineers earn on average £40,000-£60,000 per year. However the best thing about this type of degree is job prospects you will start your career as entry level management and will move quickly up the career ladder leading to a lot more money. As with everything your salary increases with experience and I have seen contracting jobs being advertised with salaries of £50 per hour and £500 per day. Not too bad if you want to bring yourself out of retirement and work three days a week so you can take the kids to Florida on a nice holiday lol :) The best salary I have seen for an experienced engineer was as an Oil Rig Risk Engineer with a yearly salary of £105,000 a year!!
