How to improve my speaking english skills?

if u have been in US for 4 years, then english wouldn't have been a problem. Unless, you live there and you still speak in languages other than English. If yes, stop it. And listen more and more. One thing you have to do (compulsory) Watch or Read NEWS. Your current problem is that you don't know what to talk about when you try to speak English. you forget the word easily because you learn single words and single words are hard to remember. I propose you the following methods: 1/ Learn English words in a full sentence. If you learn 100 single words, not sure you can make a correct sentence, but if you learn 10 correct sentences, you can remember 100 single easily. 2/ Practice English speaking with other at least 90 hours. In English, there is the rule name "Rule 90", it means you must spend enough 90 hours on speaking if you want to speak English fluently, if not you can't master it.

immerse yourself. i know it sounds hard but anything you watch on television should be english, read magazines and books in english, chat with people on skype and pay attention to how they pronounce each word, watch the tongue and teeth. and if they're real patient ask them to sound the words out slowly. best of luck! :-)
