What is the difference between a cartoon and animation?

Two English questions - 1. "dream it" vs. "dream about it" 2. "animation", "anime", "cartoon","manga"?

    The verb is really 'to dream about' or 'to dream of'. 'dream this man' doesn't make any sense, you have to use a preposition (either 'of' or 'about') Animation and cartoon can generally be used interchangeably, but animation also means what Rain said. Anime and Manga are specific types of cartoon/animation ( as Rain says)
