Answer:
"S'il pleut, je porterai une veste./ (or 'impermeable' which is raincoat) " is how you would say that. The future tense is pretty easy, except where you are using a conditional statement like 'if this happens, then something else will occur'. That can get a bit tricky, so watch out. I'll give you a website to help you out at the bottom of my answer, This may help you do the normal future tense on your own..This is an example about how to do ER ending verbs in the future tense. French Future Tense -ER Verbs (e.g. parler - to speak) je parlerai - I will speak tu parleras - you (informal) will speak il/elle parlera - he/she will speak nous parlerons - we will speak vous parlerez - you (formal) will speak ils/elles parleront - they will speak Example: Je parlerai avec mon professeur. - I will speak with my professor. Good luck with your French! http://french.about.com/library/weekly/aa090699L.htm

S'il pleuvra, je porterai un manteau. In French, both parts have to be in the future, otherwise it would mean "if it is raining, I will wear a jacket". For regular -er verbs, the future is the verb and then the present tense of avoir (for that person) stuck on the end--except for nous and vous, then it's just the bit after "av". Je porterai Tu porteras il/elle/on portera nous porterons vous porterez ils/elles porteront For irregular verbs, the ending is the same, but the stem isn't--but it will always end in r (before the avoir conjugation) I will be: je serai I will go: j'irai I will do: je ferai (Or, use aller (in present tense) + the infinitive.
