How To Improve Speaking Skills In English?

How can I improve my speaking skills if I have none to talk to in English?

  • I am worried about my English. I have done a serious effort to learn this language and I don't want to lose my English proficiency. Last year, I resolved TEOLF tests as if English were my mother tounge, but I don't know why they hired a new English teacher at my school, who doesn't even know how to speak correctly the language, and I feel I am adquiring his bad habits (I am forced to hear him 2 hours a day!) He always says Why yes? when he wants to say "¿Por que si?", he has an awful pronunciation and a terrible grammar. What can I do? The rest of my classmates speak only a little english so they don't realize that half of what they are being taught is wrong. Anyway, I just wanted to show you what my situation is. Has anyone any advice on what I can do to improve my english and abvove all... do you know how can I keep myself from making the same mistakes my teacher does???

    Well if you just want to practice, you could just try using English language websites or chat sites and just practice with strangers. Also, generally it sounds better to put the adverb before the verb. Such as, "correctly speak the language" and "only speak a little english"
