Do you need a translation degree to become a translator?

My best friend wants to become a translator, she finished HS,but never went to college her dream is to become a translator, she Knows two laguages very well. Can any body give me an advice so i can help her.Thanks

you don't need a degree, you can take an exam to prove your language abilities and then you get a authorisation to practice.
