Pokemon diamond?

Is it worth getting Pokemon Battle Revolution if you don't have Pokemon Pearl/Diamond?

  • I've seen mixed reviews about this, some people have said it's absolutely amazing, and others have said it's rubbish and pointless if you don't have Pokemon Pearl/Diamond. I have Pokemon Platinum on DS, and then all the older games such as Yellow/Red/Blue/Silver etc. I don't own Pearl or Diamond, so I was wondering if it was worth it in the slightest? The gameplay looks absolutely brilliant, and I was a massive fan of Pokemon Stadium when it was on the N64. I really want this game, but i don't want to pay money for something I'd be disappointed in, Also. Obviously there is masses of new Pokemon, but adding to them, is there still the original 151 Pokemon available to select and use? Or it entirely the new selection of Pokemon Any comments are appreciated unless you're going to be sarcastic/rude, then keep it to yourself. Thank you!

    In my opinion, I think that getting Pokémon Diamond and Pearl does broaden your gameplay and enjoyment on this game. I have it and I am using rental passes and it gets a bit boring after a time. I would recommend buying this game, but, get Pokémon Diamond and Pearl or borrow someone else's game and transfer their Pokémon instead to make the game more enjoyable. :)

Don't worry I'm sure Pokemon Platinum can also connect with it, I'm pretty sure all the 4th Gen games can connect with Battle Revolution. Well it's good for 4th Gen because of the Random Matchup WiFi feature, which wasn't introduced in any DS Pokemon game until 5th Gen. You can "clone" your Pokemon you have from your DS games. So yeah I think it's half good and half bad. It all depends.

I would say it is not worth it if you don't have Diamond/Pearl. The game gives you premade teams and trainer cards with rather lack luster pokemon, and although in some ways it is more fun because it is much harder than just using your own pokemon, it can be quite frustrating in some battles when you feel there is nothing you can do. Especially in the final battle in the campaign, the boss uses a Drizzle Kyogre using water spout along with an abusing rain manaphy and choice speced surfing kingra using swift swim with water absorb vaporeon which has 252 EVs in HP and Sp. Defense and who starts acid armouring the turn its sent out. (And it is a double battle so water spout hits both your pokemon, choice speced surf heals vaporeon to full every turn, and rain boosts the power of all water moves and they all have STAB) Your supposed to somehow beat that with some pretty crappy pokemon. I'm on a Smogon World Cup Team and Premier League team and I had great trouble. D;
