Dungeons and Dragons PnP online?

How do I play Dungeons and Dragons online?

  • Answer:

While MapTools has a very nice look and feel, the problem with it is the lack of public servers and lobbies...instead, you have to arrange the games beforehand via email, yahoo groups, Facebook or the like and then someone has to host the game session for the others to log onto and join at the agreed-upon time. This is why many of those preferring MapTools also use Open RPG - that platform has a number of public servers with lobbies that they use for mustering. As for me, I just go ahead and use Open RPG altogether...while it doesn't have quite as many bells and whistles, it generally gets the job done.
