What can I do to make my summer amazing?

What activities can I plan to make the summer happy without money?

  • This year is tough. First of all, money is tight and secondly, we are just working so much to make the money that time is tight too. This is unfair for the kids so I have decided to take the time, sacrifice some money and plan a happy summer full of fun for the kids... minus great expense. So travel (by plane) is out of the question since even if I could afford it now everyone is travelling so just to book a flight is like hell to do. The stress, delays, swine flu etc. all make it too difficult right now and if you want to plan a trip for summer you ought to do it in January. I couldn't. So, how can I plan my own fun summer camp at home??? I plan to take the kids driving to lots of sites but I want to plan some nice stuff home too. Can anyone suggest anything?

It would really depend on the age of your children so, you could teach them sports, talk them for a walk to a public playground, organise times where them and their friends could meet, have a small party, teach them a game they can play with each other, have a speacial night where you all have dinner together and maybe watch a movie too, watch a movie, play activitives with them (bean bag races, egg and spoon races, etc). Be creative and a lot of ideas can come your way. :)
