PSP help?

I have some PSP questions please help?

  • hey i was wondering if you guys are going to get the new PSP go, and I also need help about something, I have the first PSP and the memory card that came with it and the psp is all scratched up and has like a ver thin red pixle line going straight across the screen and the psp shuts off at random, it also cannot get the new update because of the crappy memory card that came with it, i was wondering what should i do? should i buy the PSP 3000 or the psp go? the only reason why i started playing with my psp was because i want to get the new psp game Final Fantsy Dissidia, and there are barley any real good games for psp.... they pretty much all suck.... exept for need for the ones i have, speed most wanted, grand theft auto, dynasty wariors (kinda), i have some ATV game and it's kinda gay even though i beat the whole game it's still not fun, so what should i do? should i really buy a new psp just for this one game???

  • Answer:

well the new psp go wont run on umd disks. it will use the playstation network where you buy them directly from the psp onto the memory stick... So the new psp go will be the best thing on the market except ipods, so get it. it also comes with new features that you will like so get that. You will also be able to get Final Fantasy Dissidia but that costs less and no umd... GET IT

Doesn't sound like you'd get your money's worth if you invested in a brand new PSP. Maybe take a look at kijiji or a pawnshop (eww) or GameStop and see what you can get a used PSP for. Another 1000 should be relatively cheap, but a 2000 is much lighter and you might like that. (However, it takes a thinner battery. Your old battery would work and last longer if you bought a new battery cover on ebay.) Whatever used model you get, be sure to look it over carefully and make sure it's not all scuffed up and stuff. You're the buyer, so you get to see before you buy. Even at GameStop they will open the sealed used PSP box so you can take a look. If you wait for the Go you probably will be disappointed. Currently, it's download-only (from the Playstation Store = no competition or going on sale) and your UMD's may not be able to be copied over. The screen is a bit smaller. AND it seems you're kinda rough with your PSP so it might wear out a lot sooner. The final choice is up to you of course. Do what you want!
