How do you capture Heatran on diamond?

Scyther/Heatran, Diamond?

  • After finally catching Scyther so I could use False Swipe, I think I'm ready to go back to Stark Mountain. But, I was wondering if I needed to level up Scyther first. She is at 52lvl. Will her False Swipe render the Heatran at 1HP to let me catch it or does she need to ne a higher level? I also have a 79lvl Empoleon if the Heatran makes her faint after she's hit it first. Is there anything I need to look out for? Oh, and what is the best PokeBall to use; Ultra/Dusk or another? Thank you!

    Heatran is a steel/fire type, level 70, resistant to all of scyther's stab attacks, and won't even take more than 10 damage from false swipe. level it up.Dusk ball at night would be your best option next to the masterball, but like me, I don't use cheats or hacks. Good luck; a pokemon with low catch rate takes forever to catch.

use the dusk ball. will work mych better. and not sure if your syther will be strong enough but you could always find out

Level up your Scyther. I've heard that Heatran is level 70, so check pokemon.marriland.com to see Heatran's defense and attack stats, then level up your Scyther until its defense and attack stats are higher than Heatran's. Also, use a dusk ball. Like ^^^ said.

heatran is steel type so a normal type move wont work very well. use empoleon to weaken it quite a lot then send out syther to reduce the hp even more. make sure heatrans hp is quite low first because it fire type moves would probably ko quickly. use a dusk ball and heatran isnt hard to catch, bring lots a repels to keep your team a full health and make your trip a lot quicker. AND SAVE BEFORE YOU FIGHT HEATRAN
